RECYCLED TOYS FUNITURE WINS BEST INSTALLATION PROJECT

The Golden Lion for Best Installation Project in the International Exhibition goes to Gregg Lynn Form with his Recycled Toy Furniture (USA, Corderie dell’Arsenale, Installations). The jury found Gregg Lynn’s experimental recycled-toys furniture to best embody the Biennale theme of Out there: Architecture beyond building.

Silver Lion for a Promising Young Architect in the International Exhibition to Chilean Group Elemental
Golden Lion for life time achievement to Frank O.Gehry

DENISE SCOTT BROWN TO SPEAK AT BIENNALE

Denise Scott Brown will be the keynote speaker at a British Council debate on housing design next month.  The celebrated architect and urban planner will apply her research to housing — including her seminal 1970’s polemic on America, “Learning from Levittown” — to contemporary Europe.
