JULIEN DE SMEDT INTERVIEWED FOR THE MAGAZINE FACE B – ISSUE 2 – ‘STRONG ENOUGH’
The Paris based magazine “Face B – architecture from the other side” launches its second issue titled “STRONG ENOUGH,” including an interview with Julien De Smedt by Jesse Seegers.

HAPPY SPACE 500th EDITION ANNIVERSARY!
JDS/Heechan Park holds up a SPACE magazine poster in celebration of their 500th edition. The 500th edition anniversay includes interviews from 23 of the most influential architects in the world to investigate their current situations and listen to their predictions for the future… including Julien’s!
SPACE is a specialized architectural monthly which was first published in 1966 and has been at the vanguard of covering the arts and culture scene here in Korea ever since. In January of 2008, SPACE has been officially listed on the Art & Humanities Citation Index of Thomson Reuters [former ISI], which is a US organization that provides academic information. SPACE is the second publication from Asia to be listed, following A+U of Japan.

FIRST ISSUE OF CONDITIONS MAGAZINE OUT NOW
The first issue of CONDITIONS magazine is now available.

The first issue is dedicated to “Strategy for Evolution”. It includes contributors from different fields of knowledge, giving multiple interpretations of what a strategy for evolution could be. The content is exclusively developed for CONDITIONS and among the contributors for the first issue are Winy Maas, Lars Ramberg, Bernt Stilluf Karlsen, Markus Miessen and Fernando Donis. The magazine opens up for the new and unknown voices in a balanced mix with the established.
BYPASS MAGAZINE LAUNCH IN PORTUGAL
Gäelle Silva Marques & Álvaro Seiça Neves have started a new magazine called BYPASS.
The pre-launch of BYPASS will be hosted at FNAC Chiado, Lisbon, on the 27th of May, 7:30 pm.
The “BYPASSing” cycle will then be presented: every month one of the frst issue’s authors will be integrated in a conference, an exhibition, or a presentation. Pavel Braila, Moldavian artist based in Berlin, will launch the cycle with his video “Baron’s Hill”. The video “Stalk”, by Pedro dos Reis, Portuguese artist based in N.Y., with music by Draftank, will also be displayed.
The launch will be on the 28th of May, at the Appleton Square Gallery in Lisbon, starting at 8:30 pm. The performance and video “Eurolines Catering or Homesick Cuisine”, by Pavel Braila, will be carried out.
